I am feeling this sunny weather right now, and I have added some beautiful new spring/summer bits to my wardrobe. This post is in collaboration with Femme Luxe Finery which keep absolutely smashing it with their new-in pieces at the moment and have kindly gifted me some products to try.
I have two holidays booked so far and quite a few summer days out and trips planned so I wanted to find a mix of day and night bits that I could wear both in this country and abroad.
I really love this whole cargo, boiler suits and utility shorts trend at the moment, and they did have some great jumpsuits that I was on the hunt for maybe just a few weeks back, but then the weather finally perked up and I thought everyone is in the boiler suit trend at the moment, I want to find something fresh and different.
Femme Luxe; I have to say, do different well, I always manage to find some unusual pieces on their website that’s on trend but just a little bit different to your usual high street finds, and my first find was this utility co-ord, it gives me slightly crocodile dundee vibes, I love it. It also strangely gives me a shipwrecked vibe too, which makes me feel summery, and therefore in the most positive mood haha.
The quality of this little stone pop button shorts co-ord is great, the cargo shorts are so lightweight which is exactly what you want for summer, the top has a tie waist so you can wear it as tight or lose as you like; so no matter how many times you got up to go to the buffet table. The colour is a lovely sandy, stone, nude colour which goes so well with everything in my accessory collection right now and I feel this could be dressed up or down no matter what the occasion, or the country!
My next find was this burgundy / brown silky playsuit which I think would look perfect for an evening on holiday or even a night out in summer as long as we keep this good weather. Femme luxe have some amazing printed playsuits right now it was hard to pick which colour way to choose, and hard not to get all of them.
I thought I was over the snake phase to be honest but then I saw this burgundy snake print front tie playsuit and realised I was 100% not. It’s a lose, cool fit, but has a tie waist to really cinch you in; teamed which a plunge neckline and your favourite pair of heels and you’ll be flattering.
The next item I picked out was this beige low v-neck utility playsuit; I did say I was loving this trend – they also had this is a few different colour ways too and I remember thinking the rust coloured one was also a fave. Now the low v’s are well too low for me, but it doesn’t stop me buying something if I like it, I just always make sure I have some safety pins handy and I don’t think you can even really tell it was supposed to be any different.
This playsuit again can be dressed up with heels or down with sandals for a ‘roaming around the city’ kind of look, in fact I think this would look insane with a pair of black knee high gladiator sandals.
I also love the fact that this playsuit comes with a free black chunky belt, usually you’d have to pick items like belts up separately so that’s a big thumbs up from me.
Last but definitely not least! I picked up this lime tie blazer two-piece set co-ord. I know some people are not into the neon but when the sun comes out I do love a bit of colour; surprising I know because my winter wardrobe is very black on black.
Although this is a trouser suit, it’s again in a very lightweight, cool material so this would be great for a day out this summer; I’m thinking a bottomless brunch kind of vibe would be ideal for this two-piece.
Another thing, which is great about two-piece sets, is of course that you have two items you can mix and match with other things and create loads of different looks from these staple pieces, I can literally already picture another 10 outfits in my head already.
What do you think of my latest finds, I’d love to know what trends you are loving or not loving either this season!
